NRPS Welland Missing Person Investigation Remains Open After 27 Years.

October 3, 2023, tragically marks 27 years since Audrey Desjardins went missing.

Audrey Desjardins was 43 years old at the time of her disappearance.  She was last seen in the City of Welland on October 3rd, 1996, driving her red 1985 Ford Crown Victoria bearing Ontario licence CJM 741.  Audrey and the Ford Crown Victoria have never been located.  Audrey would be 71 years old.

At the time she went missing she was described as:

• White
• 5'3 in height, 115 lbs. slender build
• Long, straight blonde hair...

Taxi Driver Succumbs to His Injury – St. Catharines – Update 2

The circumstances surrounding the death of a 58-year-old taxi driver in St. Catharines remains under investigation.

On September 23, 2023, at 4:43am 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to an assist ambulance call on Eastchester Avenue near Lorne Street in St. Catharines.  The taxi driver had been found on the ground beside his parked taxi.  The taxi door was open and in the roadway.  The driver was unconscious suffering...
