As a result of an on-going investigation into this collision, detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit were able to identify a male suspect.
On Thursday July 14, 2022, the male turned himself in to police.

As a result of an on-going investigation, 2 District (Niagara Falls) detectives were able to locate the second male suspect.
On Wednesday July 13, 2022, 33 year old Murray Nimmo was arrested and charged with the following offence:
- Robbery, Contrary to Section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Contrary to Section 733.1 of the Criminal Code

On Saturday July 9, 2022, at approximately 8:00am, 8 District uniform officers were called to area of the North Service Road near Olive Street in the Town of Grimsby in response to a single motor vehicle that left the roadway, collided into a tree and caught fire.
