On February 25, 2020, at approximately 9:30pm 6 District - Port Colborne uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were called to a report of a car that had gone into Lake Erie.
NRPS officers along with Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and Wainfleet Fire Services responded to the area of Harbourview Road and Lakeshore Road in Wainfleet.

On Thursday February 27, 2020 the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) will be unveiling of our new "Heroes in Life" Wall of Honour.
The Wall of Honour is dedicated to the eight officers that have tragically died in the performance of their duties in the Niagara Region.
The "Heroes in Life" Wall of Honour will ensure that the sacrifices made by our fallen officers will never be forgotten by the community and the Niagara Regional Police Service.

One man has been arrested and a second man is wanted following a disturbance at a downtown Niagara Falls hotel.
On February 24, 2020, at approximately 9:00pm uniform officers from the 2 District – Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a motel in the area of Queen Street and Zimmerman Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering from what was believed to be life threatening injuries and a critically injured dog.

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.
