The Niagara Regional Police Service continues to search for missing 58-year-old Darren Werner of the Town of Niagara on the Lake.
Darren Werner was reported missing on September 17, 2021 and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.

On Saturday May 21, 2022, shortly after 1:00am 1 District St. Catharines uniform officers form the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of an assault in downtown St. Catharines.
Officers arrived on scene in the area of St. Paul Street and William Street. Officers located two men (34 years and 46 years) suffering from nonlife threatening injuries. The victims were transported to a local hospital. The initial investigation has determined that the victims were assaulted...

Officers from the 5 District Fort Erie office of the Niagara Regional Police Service have continued to investigate this incident.
As a result of the investigation officers were able to identify a male suspect driver. Further information was also obtained that the involved SUV was driving in a dangerous manner in the moments leading up to the collision.
On May 27, 2022, officers attended a St. Catharines home and arrested the registered owner of the SUV.
