On June 28, 2020, at approximately 1:10pm, as a direct result of the Amber Alert issued at 12:30pm, the suspect male and child attended the 1 District (St. Catharines) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service located at 68 Church Street in St. Catharines in the gold Mercedes.
The suspect surrendered himself to officers there and was arrested without incident. The child is safe and uninjured.

At approximately 9am on Sunday June 20, 2020 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were contacted regarding a possible parental abduction.
Further investigation by officers with the 1 District Detective Office led to concerns regarding the welfare of the 6 year old child, leading to an Amber Alert.

At approximately 11:25am on Wednesday June 24, 2020, 3 District (Welland) uniform officers were called to the area of Nelles Rd and McNaughton Rd in the City of Welland following the report of an armed barricaded male inside a residence.
As a result of the information initially received, out of concern for public safety, the Emergency Task Unit (ETU) as called for assistance.

On Friday June 26, 2020 detectives arrested a male in connection with this sexual assault as well as an earlier incident of alleged harassment on June 18, 2020, on Merritt Trail along 12 Mile Creek.
29-year-old Jacob Clarke of no fixed address is facing the following charges:

In June 2020, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Guns, Gangs, and Grows/ OPIOID unit conducted a drug investigation involving a male allegedly selling cocaine from his vehicle in the City of Niagara Falls.
On Thursday June 25, 2020 Police executed search warrants and arrested the male in the area of Chippawa Creek Road and Moyer Road, seizing both cocaine and currency.
Police found approximately $11,000.00 worth of cocaine and $5,400.00 in currency.
