At approximately 9:05pm on Sunday August 30, 2020, uniform officers were called to the Canview Drive In in the City of Thorold following the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation has revealed that a male approached a female who was working in the booth, showed a handgun and demanded money. The male fled prior to police arrival.
The male is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 6’2” tall with a husky build wearing a purple zip up sweater and a mask.

At approximately 9:55am on Sunday August 30, 2020 the missing swimmer was located near the north shore of Lake Erie in Halloway Bay.
Out of respect to the next of kin, as no foul play is suspected, no further information about the missing male will be released.
On August 27, 2020, at approximately 1:30pm emergency service personnel responded the area of Sherkston Beach on Lake Erie in the City of Port Colborne for a report of a possible drowning.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is currently searching for missing 15 year old Maddix Breen of Niagara Falls.
On August 26, 2020, Breen went to work in Niagara Falls. At the conclusion of her shift, at approximately 7:00pm, she took a cab to a convenience store in the area of Regional Road 24 and Regional Road 27 in Fenwick where she was dropped off. She has not been seen since.
Breen is described as:
- Female, white
- 5'2 feet, 110lbs.
- Blond shoulder length hair
