Update 1 - Suspect Vehicle

The Homicide Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting that occurred in the area of Epworth Circle and St. Lawrence Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls on April 1, 2024, at 6:19pm.

As a result of the investigation, detectives have identified the suspect vehicle as a 2020-2023 Audi Q7 with a black optic or "black ops" package. 

A 29-year-old male was pronounced deceased following the shooting....

On March 31, 2024 at 4:02am, 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to the area of Queen Street and Erie Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls in regard to a sexual assault that had occurred around 3:00am. Suspended Driver Charged During Weekend R.I.D.E Campaign

On Friday, March 29th, 2024, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks in the City of Thorold.

Detectives Investigating Fire with a Fatality in St. Catharines

On Monday March 25th 2024, at approximately 6:50am, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Division Street and Frank Street in the City of St. Catharines in regards to a fire call.

Investigation revealed that a detached garage at the rear of a residence in this location was engulfed in flames. The St. Catharines Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 12:30pm, 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Gatfield Avenue and Macinnis Street, in the City of Welland for a stabbing call.
