The Niagara Regional Police Service continues to work with Municipal and Regional by-law enforcement partners in the on-going enforcement of Emergency Orders in regards to COVID-19.

On January 1, 2021, at approximately 4:06am, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the area of Queenston Street and Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines for a robbery call
Officers arrived on scene and observed multiple parties fleeing from the area.
Further investigation revealed that several unknown males were involved in a robbery and two unknown males pointed firearms at two male victims.

On Sunday, January 10, 2021 at approximately 6:52pm, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the area of Church Street and Calvin Street, in the City of St. Catharines in regards to an assault.
Initial investigation revealed that 48 year old male and a 47 year old male had gotten into an altercation. As a result, the 48 year old male stabbed the other male.

On Saturday, January 9, 2021 at approximately 1:04 p.m., 3 District (Welland) uniform officers attended the Welland Recreational Canal, in the City of Welland for a marine call.
Officers arrived on scene and were advised two males in their 20’s, were scuba diving in the Welland Recreational Canal.
