Detectives are investigating following the report of a sexual assault in the Town of Grimsby.
It was reported to 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers at approximately 5:00am on Saturday December 21, 2019.
An investigation was then commenced by detectives with the Sexual Assault Unit.
Investigation has revealed that the 29-year-old female victim was assaulted in the area of Sherwood Park in the Town of Grimsby in the early morning hours of December 21, 2019.

On Friday, December 20, 2019 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers responded to a belated attempted robbery that occurred at approximately 4:42am at a convenience store in the area of Lake St and Beech St. in the City of St. Catharines.
Investigation has revealed that a male entered the store, was seen to be in possession of a black handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot.
No one was physically injured during the attempted robbery.

On Wednesday December 11, 2019 at approximately 6:00 am, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to the area of Welland Ave and Clark St in the City of St. Catharines. As a result of an investigation by the Niagara Regional Police, Central Fraud Unit, on Wednesday December 11, 2019, police arrested a suspect who was attempting to complete the fraudulent purchase of a $107,000.00 luxury vehicle.
Through their investigation, detectives identified the alleged attempted use of personation and the use of forged identity documents.

At approximately 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 28, 2019 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were flagged down by a victim of an attempt robbery in the area of Welland Avenue and Catherine Street in the City of St. Catharines. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and was not located during a subsequent search of the area. The victim was not injured in the attempt.
