MISSING PERSON – Valentina LEDUC-CECCHIN (15 Years) of Welland – LOCATED

The investigation to locate missing person Valentina LEDUC-CECCHIN has been ongoing by officers assigned to 3 District (Welland / Pelham).

On February 22nd, 2023, Valentina was located and is safe.

The NRPS has removed Valentina’s photo from the original media release and our social media for her privacy.  We ask the public and media outlets to consider doing the same.

Public Release – Criminal Impaired Driving Offences – February 13th to February 19th, 2023

Pharmacy Robbery in St. Catharines Under Investigation by Detectives

On February 21st, 2023, at 10:51pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to a robbery that had just occurred at a pharmacy located on Scott Street between Niagara Street and Vine Street, in the City of St. Catharines.

Door-to-Door Soliciting

Over the recent weeks the Niagara Regional Police Service has been contacted multiple times across Niagara regarding door-to-door solicitation.

The investigations have found that some of the persons are law abiding and credentialed.  Other persons have been found to be more suspicious and their intentions questionable.  The suspicious persons may be scammers trying to target vulnerable persons in their homes.
