At this time, two crime scenes are being held in the areas of Queenston St and Eastchester Ave as well as Lorne St and Queenston St in the City of St. Catharines.
A 24 year old male and 26 year old male both from the City of St. Catharines have been taken into custody in relation to this incident.
This investigation remains on-going by detectives with the Homicide Unit with further information in regards to charges to be released later today.

At approximately 11:55pm on Monday January 13, 2020, 1 District (St. Catharines) Uniform officers were called to the area of Queenston St. and Eastchester Ave. in the City of St. Catharines following the report of a stabbing.
A 30-year-old male was located with life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Homicide Unit.

At approximately 11:35am on Sunday, January 12, 2020, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were dispatched to a break and enter call.
Officers attended a residence in the area of College Street and Yates Street in St. Catharines and located a 44 year old St. Catharines person inside. The person was identified and it was determined they were wanted for unrelated Criminal Code of Canada offences.

On January 12, 2020, at approximately 10:00pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 5 District – Fort Erie uniform officers responded to a report of a commercial robbery.
Officers attended to the Crystal Mart convenience store located at 74 Queens Circle in Fort Erie (Crystal Beach).
An unknown male suspect entered the store immediately and went behind the counter. The suspect verbally threatened the clerk during the robbery. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
