Male facing charges following altercation in Niagara Falls

On Tuesday June 30, 2020 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to a motel in the area of Kitchener St. and Slater Ave. In the City of Niagara Falls following the report of an altercation.

Investigation by officers with the 2 District Detective Office found that two males confronted a female in the parking lot with a firearm.  The males fled prior to police arrival.  Detectives do not believe this was a random incident.

On Wednesday, July 1st, 2020, The Niagara Regional Police, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers, the Traffic Enforcement Unit, and the Marine Unit, attended Sunset Beach in the City of St. Catharines, in regards to an initiative.

The Niagara Regional Police have been receiving information that there has been a large number of people attending Sunset Beach, putting it at its capacity limit.

Charles Trenholm was last seen on foot at 11:30am, in the area of King Street and Neff Street, in the City of Port Colborne.

11 People Arrested in Relation to Drug Investigation in St. Catharines

In May of 2020, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service, Guns, Gangs and Grows Unit and the Opioid Enforcement Unit, began an investigation in to a large scale illegal cannabis grow operation, in the area of Third Street Louth and Main Street, in the City of St. Catharines.

The investigation commenced as a result of complaints from members of the public, concerned about the operation taking place from that location.
