The investigation into this matter remains ongoing by detectives from the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit. The ongoing investigation has learned that there may be further witnesses to this incident or the events leading up to the collision. In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.

In 2017 an animal rights group began protesting the use of horse drawn carriages in Niagara on the Lake. The protests have been centralized to the downtown area of Niagara on the Lake. In the 3 years, counter protesters supporting the horse drawn carriage businesses have also become involved in protests. On Thursday, July 23rd, 2020, at approximately 3:50pm, emergency personal responded to the area of Mountain Road and the QEW Southbound off ramp, in the City of Niagara Falls, in regards to a collision.
