St. Catharines Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder

On April 04, 2024, at 2:36 pm, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Vintage Court and Louth Street in the City of St. Catharines.

When they arrived, along with Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) Paramedics, a female was located with serious stab wounds.

She was treated at the scene and transported to an out of Region hospital where she was treated and released.

On April 04, 2024, at 7:32 pm, the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of a Robbery in the area of Municipal Drive in the Town of Fort Erie.

In March 2024, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Detectives assigned to the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began a proactive investigation to target people in our community who use the Internet to contact children for sexual purposes.

Planning for the April 8, 2024, solar eclipse remains ongoing in the Niagara Region to have a safe and enjoyable event.  To allow for the safety of pedestrians, traffic management, and the movement of emergency vehicles there will be planned road closures in the City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Fort Erie.

Detectives Investigating Fatality in the City of Niagara Falls

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 6:00pm, 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers attended the area of Centre Street and Ellen Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls in response to a male in crisis.

Officers and medical services attended the scene and located a vehicle on fire and the male with injuries.  The male was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
