The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is presently conducting a missing person investigation for a 56 year old man from Niagara on the Lake.
On June 20, 2021, the NRPS was contacted and commenced a missing person investigation to try and locate Carmen Micieli. Three people have been charged with various offences after the Niagara Regional Police Service Central Fraud Unit has concluded an 8-month long investigation into financial activities at the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN), related to false invoicing, diverted revenue and other related events. The fraud was reported to have occurred between 2003 and 2019 resulting in a total loss to the DSBN of over $2.1 million dollars.

On June 17, 2021 officers from our 8 District – Grimsby office and our Traffic Enforcement Unit partnered with four law enforcement agencies to take part in Project Avoidance. The Project was conducted on the roadways in the Town of Lincoln and included the Queen Elizabeth Highway.

Update 1 – June 24, 2021
As a result of the ongoing investigation by 8 District - Grimsby detectives, multiple incidents of damage / vandalism have been discovered in Grimsby.
Detectives have conducted further investigation into incidents of new cars being shot at with an air rifle. Multiple cars at the Grimsby Ford, Kia and Chrysler lots have been damaged since February of 2021. Damages are believed to be in excess $17,000.

Since April of 2021, detectives with the St. Catharines Street Crime Unit, with the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs from a residence, in the area of Edith Street and Chetwood Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspects.
On June, 23, 2021, at approximately 2:55pm, the Emergency Task Unit and the members of the 1 District Street Crime Unit arrested the suspects.
