On July 2, 2022, at approximately 3:46am, 1 District St. Catharines/Thorold uniform officers were on patrol in the area of Riordon Street and Gale Crescent in St. Catharines.

The officers observed a 2007 beige Hyundai Santa Fe on Riordon Street driving erratically. On Friday, July 1st, 2022, members of the Niagara Regional Police attended the Cities of Port Colborne and St. Catharines to conduct R.I.D.E. checkpoints.

Officers stopped approximately 600 vehicles throughout the early evening and into the morning.  Of the vehicles stopped, a total of 1 driver was administered a roadside screening test.  This driver provided a sample in the warning range and subsequently, had their drivers licence suspended for three days.

Concerned family called police to report that Tera was last seen riding her bike in the Crescent Park area of Garrison Road in Fort Erie.  Her current location is unknown.

Niagara Falls Detectives Investigating Back-To-Back Armed Robberies – Update 1 – WANTED

As a result of the ongoing investigation, 2 District detectives have been able to identify the suspect responsible for the armed robberies.

An arrest warrant is being sought for Jeffrey Christopher Swalm (45 years) of Niagara Falls.  Swalm is wanted for the criminal offences of:

  • Robbery using firearm (2 Counts)
  • Pointing a firearm (2 Counts)
  • Disguised with intent (2 Counts)
