Investigation following reports of shots fired in West Lincoln

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, at approximately 10:20pm, Niagara Regional Police 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) uniform officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Grassie Road and Concession Road 7 in the Town of West Lincoln. 

Officers secured the area and searched for anyone involved but did not locate any victim(s) or suspect(s). 

Through continued investigation, detectives have confirmed that multiple shots were fired.

West Lincoln Man Arrested Following Child Luring Investigation – Update 1 – RE-ARREST

As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) have re-arrested a West Lincoln man in connection with a child luring case first announced on April 3, 2025.

On May 2, 2025, as a result of further investigative efforts, Johnathan Jeffrey AHLSTEDT was taken into custody by NRPS detectives.

As part of Police Week 2025 – "Protecting Ontario", the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is proud to announce the launch of its 5th Annual Spring Forward Food Drive.
