On March 18th, 2023, at 9:24pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to a disturbance located on Stanton Avenue near Ferguson Street, in the City of Niagara Falls.
Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old Niagara Falls resident suffering from on obvious stab wound. Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) paramedics responded to the scene and ultimately transported the male victim to an out-of-town trauma...

The investigation to locate missing person Kristina LORENCOVA has been ongoing by officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold).
Kristina has been located and is safe.
The NRPS has removed Kristina’s photo from the original media release and our social media for her privacy. We ask the public and media outlets to consider doing the same.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is currently conducting a missing person investigation stemming from the City of St. Catharines.
Officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) are currently searching for Kristina LORENCOVA (29 years) of age. She was last seen on January 1st, 2023, in the area of Ontario Street near Scott Street West, in the City of St. Catharines.
Kristina is described as follows:

- White
- 5’7” tall
- 150lbs

On March 18th, 2023, at 10:26am Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 6 District (Port Colborne / Wainfleet) responded alongside Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services and Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) paramedics for what was reported as a derailed train near Main Street West, approximately 100 meters east of King Street, in the City of Port Colborne.

St. Patrick’s Day – Friday Night R.I.D.E. Results in Two Arrests

On Friday March 17th, 2023, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks, in the City of St. Catharines and the City of Thorold.
Officers stopped over 1000 vehicles and inquired if any of the drivers had consumed any alcohol or drugs earlier in the evening. In total, 18 drivers were required to provide a sample of their breath for analysis.
