The investigation into this gun point robbery has been ongoing. As a result of the investigation detectives were able to identify a suspect.
On October 19, 2021, Andrew James Windsor (32 years) of St. Catharines was charged with the criminal offences of:

On October 19, 2021, at approximately 10:05PM, 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a stolen SUV.
Officers attended the area of Victoria Avenue near Morrison Street in Niagara Falls. Update 1- October 20, 2021
On August 31, 2021, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service from 8 District (Grimsby) commenced an investigation into a number of property crimes involving a stolen white Ford F150 pickup truck.
As a result of the investigation, detectives have determined there is a second suspect.
The Niagara Regional Police Service are seeking the public’s help in identifying the second suspect.

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.
In addition to being charged, these individuals are also bound by a Ministry of Transportation 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and are prohibited from operating a motor vehicle on a roadway. The public is encouraged to contact...

On Friday, October 16, 2021 at approximately 11:10pm, 3 District (Welland) uniform officers, the Welland Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services attended the area of Forks Road and Colborne Street in the City of Welland for a motor vehicle collision call.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle had driven into the canal.
Upon arrival, police located a trailer partially submerged, and officers could see a glow of vehicle lights under the water. There were no people observed in the area.
