In early 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the Region of Niagara.

Arrest Made in Relation to a Residential Break and Enter – Niagara Falls

On December 24, 2024, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) uniform officers assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to a residential address in Niagara Falls for a Break and Enter call for service.

Initial investigation determined that an unknown suspect gained access to the residence by breaking a window. A Scene’s of Crime Officer (SOCO) with the NRPS also attended to process the scene for any evidence. Officers determined that the following items were stolen:
