One man has been arrested and a second man is wanted following a disturbance at a downtown Niagara Falls hotel.
On February 24, 2020, at approximately 9:00pm uniform officers from the 2 District – Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a motel in the area of Queen Street and Zimmerman Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering from what was believed to be life threatening injuries and a critically injured dog.

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.

A joint investigation has led to the arrest and seizure of weapons in Fort Erie.

Niagara Falls Road Closures
Due to an ongoing in event in the City of Niagara Falls road closures have been put in place.
The closures are at:
- Stanley Street at Dunn Street (north and south bound lanes)
- Livingstone Street Fallsview Boulevard (east and west bound lanes)
- Stanley Street at McLeod Road (north and south bound lanes).
Members of the public will be required to find alternative routes for vehicular traffic.
Road closures are expected to be in place till 2:00pm, possibly longer.

Further investigation by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit has revealed that a 79-year-old Niagara Falls female pedestrian was crossing Lundy’s Lane when she was struck by an eastbound 2009 Ford Ranger that was being operated by a 66-year-old Thorold male.
This pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital before being pronounced.
The driver of the Ford did not suffer any physical injuries in this collision.
