At approximately 4:20pm on Sunday May 10, 2020 3 District (Welland) uniform officers were called to the area of Niagara Street and 6th Street in the City of Welland regarding a suspected impaired driver.
When officers arrived they located a male in the drivers seat of a parked vehicle. While officers were placing him under arrest, he became combative and an altercation ensued during which a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) was deployed.

Charges have been laid following an investigation by detectives with the 3 District (Welland) Street Crime Unit in relation to the illegal sale of fentanyl from a residence in the King St. and Albert St. area of the City of Welland.
On May 11, 2020, a Welland man was arrested and charged.

At approximately 8:15pm on Sunday May 10, 2020 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to the area of Hamilton Street and Pelham Road in the City of St. Catharines following the report of a gunshot.
When officers arrived they located a male victim who was uninjured. Shortly after, a second male was located and arrested near the scene.

On Saturday May 9, 2020, at approximately 11:50am emergency services personnel were called to the Niagara River Parkway just north of the Floral Clock in Niagara on the Lake for a report of a possible vehicle into the Niagara Gorge.

On May 8th, 2020, at approximately 12:40pm 5 District – Fort Erie uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police responded to a robbery call at the CIBC Bank on Niagara Boulevard near Princess Street in the Town of Fort Erie.
