Assault - Update 1 - Arrests Made In Port Colborne Assault

On Monday, September 10, 2018 the fifth and final accused turned himself in after a warrant request was sought.
 
The youth, aged 17, was held for bail.
 
On September 11, the accused was released from bail with a future court date.

ORIGINAL RELEASE
 
On August 26, 2018 uniform members from the Port Colborne branch responded to a reported assault at a business on Clarence Street in the City of Port Colborne. The victim reported that he had been assaulted by five males after a verbal interaction. Investigation by members of the Port Colborne uniform branch along with assistance from members of the public led to the identification of the suspects.
 
On September 08, 2018, police arrested three young persons between the ages of 15 and 16 and one adult male aged 19 years. Each was charged with one count of Assault.
 
All accused were released from police custody to appear at future Court dates at 102 East Main Street in Welland, Ontario. 
 
On September 09, 2018, an arrest warrant was issued for the outstanding young person, aged 17 for one count of Assault.
The victim suffered only minor injuries in this incident.
